Black cod can’t escape the unique design of this bentwood fishhook! This hook, made in Skidegate, B.C., ensures it springs shut when a fish takes the bait. Spruce root is steamed into a u-shape, with one end carved into a tapered point to hold the leader line. The line is attached to a small fragment of twisted cedar root. Such incredible design in a small object!
